The aim is to keep a producing plant running – preferably without costly downtimes.
For this reason, maintenance work as a result of a crash or a replacement of components should be standardized and carried out as fast as possible.
Ideally, a flexible and transportable measuring technique is used that allows a quick and reliable registration of modifications on robots or robot tools with the help of automated measuring processes. It is even better if the measured values are transferred directly and safely into the robot control like in the case of our Software products.

In the case of a tool crash or if regular maintenance work has to be carried out, the modification of the tool will be exactly determined with the help of LaserLAB. For different robot tools like for example welding guns, water jet cutter or grippers, there are special measuring tools in order to allow the measurement of every single tool.
Tool:in actualizes the tool data inside the robot control; this data guarantees the observance of the operational points by the robot.

A crash of a component holder could lead to serious displacements, especially if the holder is a lightweight construction. A quick and automated calibration of the base transformation guarantees a minimum loss of time in comparison to other common methods.

With the start-up of LaserLAB, the as-is state of the real robot kinematics is implicitly stored in the form of measured values. In the case of any modification of the robot mechanics caused by a crash or the replacement of components like for example
gears, engines or even the whole robot, the original kinematics is restored by an additional measurement.
By that means, it is guaranteed that within a very short time, the production programmes that passed through a teach-in procedure with the help of the old kinematics, continue to proceed exactly.
